01. Recognize food items and drinks with their respective containers and quantity.

[ Objective ]

01. Listening to a  list of food items and finding the person with the match picture.

02. Describing what food items they have in a picture to their friends to find the one with the matching list.

A. Seven pages with pictures. | B. Two pages of eight lists.

(Note: The last three lists are duplicates of three pictures)

[ Teacher Instructions ]

-:{ Preparations before class }:-

01. Print the pictures and lists.

02. Glue the pictures and lists on hard coloured papers, to avoid the ability of seeing through the white soft paper.

03. Laminate them for long safe keeping.

-:{ During the lesson }:-

01. Revise the necessary vocabulary.

02. Tell students that you’re all now in a restaurant. Elicit who works in there.

03. Divide the class into waiters/waitresses and customers.

04. Tell them that this is a weird/different/special restaurant; the waiter/waitresses don’t remember their customers.

05. Give out randomly the picture cards and lists to students.

06. Waiters/waitresses should stand and go around the class choosing one customers  to politely ask them if they would like what they have.

07. Move around to monitor them and listen to their use of the target language. Focus on struggling students by listening to them once and then give them the chance to speak without being watched.

[ Note ]

– Students may pair themselves based on one or two matching items. Make sure to reinforce describing the whole items before showing their cards.
